It is a...I own one along with the smaller versions. It is an awesome tool. I wouldn't quite compare the way it feels in use to a drawknife but it's very close. I use it to fair largish chair parts and have found it invaluable for coopered work which I do alot of. It is not my go to shave, but it has earned a place in my tool cabinet.
